The little men are restless, I have been able to feel it in the air for days, that soft rumour. It's the fifth time it has happened and I know what it means. Branca does not believe me and I don’t blame her, it seems absurd that I, in her place, would not believe it either but think that it is the result of a disturbed and sick mind. But I do not find the strength either to bring her here and show her the hard facts. Not any more. The worst part is uncertainty, ignoring how it is going to end, in what situation I will be when the invasion is complete. I imagine I will have to leave and look for another house in which to live, though I suspect that this will not be a lasting solution, that I will never be free from them. Because I am convinced that they like my company, my forced permissiveness. I even think that what they like most is my stupor, now, however, they look so pleased with my acceptance.

It is difficult to make a final decision, if I am honest, I do not know how to destroy them. I tried different ways and they all failed, I even came to painting that crack with lime after using futile home remedies and chemical remedies to clean it, and I stated that it was useless, as they came out of the sides and they spread far faster than before.
