In a diesel car we have to introduce gas-oil instead of petrol; otherwise, the engine will break down. In order for a video game player or a DVD or computer to work properly, we have to check the instruction’s manual.

Wolves have specific behaviours. If a new animal ignores the established hierarchy, for example, and comes first to a prey they have just hunted, then the dominant male, the head of the pack, opens its mouth and shows its sharp teeth. The other wolf gets scared, hides its tail and leaves with its tail between its legs so that that strong male does not attack it and cause harm. Later, when it is its turn, it can eat without being bothered.

People do not act automatically like robots or follow their instincts the same as animals. We have far more freedom, and when we go out for dinner on a Saturday we can choose the clothes we are going to wear, the toy we want to take to the restaurant, the pizza we are going to eat, the cool drink we want to drink, etc. But freedom does not mean acting just when we feel like it without respecting some basic norms…
