Book fragment

In any place in the world this story could have happened.
This is the story of a girl, Pepa, who was tiny.
The girl was so small when she was born that she could be held in the palm of your hand.
They called her Pepa and nobody know what they could do --
She’s so tiny! She’s so wee! Just a few inches, isn’t she sweet?
They agreed to make a box for her to live in
There they look after her. She has it all --
She has a wardrobe, a table, a bed… and Pepa is happy as a doll!
She has to be held with care, lest she be lost in dispair
They feed her milk by the drop. She laughs and does not want them to stop.
With much care are we to play, otherwise she might get hurt.
In her box she feels so safe, she has everything, what else is there to say!
