About this book

The environmental and social degradation of the earth, the effects of war and the amazing degradation of the hardworking sculpting people living in the most isolated island in the world are the background for the development of TRILOGY OF EASTER ISLAND, which is part of the Ciclo de Marte. The general topic of this cycle is the cosmological conflict initiated by the self-affirmation of life with its ambition, aggression and bellicosity used to fight against the opposition that stops it.

This is a dramatic work in verse, unusual in Galician letters and even Spanish letters, full of strength, verbal splendour and meaning.

let me move ahead and defeat another year;
let me win a trophy on this day.
And you, who bore me the strongest,
give me back to your sanctuary of Orongo
and keep on protecting our earth,
the Link to the Universe, Rapa Nui!

Raiateo enters.

RAIATEO

Atán, why is there a sun and a moon in the sky?

ATÁN

The Being without a face and an origin
