Book fragment
It was five o’clock on the dot in the afternoon. Everything was quiet.
Chocolate had her early bath in the lagoon, and Theodore listened to the day’s news on the wind. Theodore suddenly shouted:
“Chocolate! I’ve just heard, that in the city
there are some great public baths!”“Public baths?” Chocolate asked with interest.
“What a funny idea! I’m off to try them out right now!”
The next day, Chocolate woke up early,
said goodbye to her friends and, with a very small suitcase,
crossed the forest on her way to the city.As soon as she got there she thought:
I have a wild look about me
and it only makes me stand out,
I see everyone wears clothes here…
Something needs to be done!
So she went into a clothes shop.
She tried on some underwear, pyjamas, skirts…
And she bought a track suit with zips,
a pink night dress
and a super size bikini.
Then, Chocolate went to a shoe shop and said:
“I need some cheap and elegant shoes.”
They showed her some crocodile skin shoes,
and she almost fainted.
She tried on some sandals, pointy-toed boots, high-heeled boots…
and some trainers with lights that went on and off when she walked.
She liked the trainers a lot and she left the shop with them on.
