The man stood up and withdrew the cape made of wolf’s skin to show two short knives, which he quickly unsheathed. He stepped forward and said in a loud voice, “My name is Brantroll of the Trasancos, I come from Tamarquia and I am going to Libredón... and just in case you don’t know yet what my job is... to hunt scum like you!”
The body of the girl started releasing smoke as if she was burning under her clothes and she jumped to her feet, at last showing her real face. She belonged to the group of the Fomoriáns, and her skin was blue. Wildly, she removed the spear from her insides and threatened Brantroll with it while she said,
“You are not that clever if you think you can kill me on your own. I’ve killed more men than you have hairs in your beard!” she said, her teeth looking as if she was remembering the good times in her life.
Suddenly the door at the back of the room burst open, as if somebody had smashed it with full force. The torch light trembled as the air and the snow came inside. But it was not just the wind that entered. A giant of over two and a half meters, with strong arms and a bull head crossed the door, too. He had a huge club in his hand, as wide and tall as he was. Then he saw the blue woman and he released a terrible cry and started moving towards her…
