Book fragment

In a nutshell, Romanisation of Galician communities varied, depending on the characteristics and peculiar starting conditions. But this does not imply that Galicia did not experience an intense acculturation from the first moments after it was conquered. Romans were not present in large numbers but, if we consider the scattered population pattern of the region, they were effective enough. However, our historians, for reasons that are too complex to explain here, always preferred to see in the past of Galicia a Celtic character… But if we want to be something, why not Romans?
