With the poetry collection, A ponte das poldras Dombate, Galaxia presents us with one of the authors who has worked more to make literature an open textual space: Chus Pato.

Chus Pato makes of her literary experience a vital passion, an experience of language that breaks the limits and tries to elaborate what the author calls “a syntax of utopia”.

With the aim of bringing us poetry volumes that are out of print or difficult to find but that are crucial to understanding contemporary poetry, Galaxia brings back volumes such as this one, first published in 96’ and now published in a new and revised edition.

The poetry of Chus Pato opens to different realities, explores uncomfortable territories and in A ponte das poldras, the poem takes readers to a space of emancipation where the poet revisits history. In the words of literary critic Iris Cochón, this is a work that “brings back what was silenced and inscribes the utopic”. Literature warms up again with the plenitude of imagination, the social independence of the writer, and from it a new perception arises because, as the world is language, this is then a new world too.
